Our History
Volunteer Title is a real estate closing, escrow and title insurance agency firm with our offices located in Waverly, Tennessee on the Court House Square. Volunteer Title has been in continuous existence since 1971. Our principals are Tennessee licensed title insurance agents. We are privileged to be approved agents issuing owners and lenders title insurance coverage through national underwriter Fidelity National Title Group and its affiliated Chicago Title Insurance Company and through national underwriter Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.
Volunteer Title is affiliated with Porch Peeler Williams Thomason, Solicitors & Attorneys, of Waverly, a law firm that has been in continuous existence and succession here since 1949. The attorneys have a combined experience of over 90 years in real estate law practice. We believe we are the leading practitioners in the area of real estate law in the community which is evidenced by representation of all local financial institutions.

We believe in the philosophy and encourage our customers in their transactions involving buying and selling of real estate that “A GOOD TITLE IS AN INSURED TITLE” and their peace of mind comes with knowing that the services provided were by a group of professionals.
We are a long-time member of the American Land Title Association and the Tennessee Land Title Association.
We provide significant real estate title and escrow closing services and title insurance issuance in the counties of Humphreys, Benton, Houston, Dickson, Hickman, and Perry of western middle Tennessee.
Volunteer Title utilizes the SoftPro™ real estate closing suite of software for our closings.
